Adding a Document from Finder
Use Finder or Spotlight to find the document you want to add
Select the document in Finder
Drag and drop the the document on the Raskin Surface or on the Raskin dock tile or use Reveal Selected Item in Raskin ("Command-Option-Scroll" or "Command-Option-R" or via the Services context menu "Reveal Selected Item in Raskin")
If the document is not already on the Surface, it will be added now. If necessary, a new Place is created.
Adding an Open Document
Use Finder or Spotlight to find the document you want to add
Open the document
Go to Window in Raskin ("Command-Option-Scroll" or "Command-Option-R" or via the Services menu "Go to Window in Raskin")
If the document is not already on the surface, it will be added now. If necessary, a new place is created.
Hiding Documents and Objects
Select any document or object
Choose Hide object(s) from the Selection menu (or use keyboard shortcut Control-Command-H or choose Hide from the shortcut menu)
Hiding objects from the Surface will not delete them, use Finder or Spotlight to find them or add them the Surface again
Display More or Fewer Items inside Folders and Places
In case you don’t want to add or hide any distinct items but rather would like to see more or less per folder or Place you have the following options:
Plus/Minus Buttons in folder and Place headers: Click to add or hide 50 items. Click while holding Option (⌥) to add as many as possible (exact value depends on your system’s performance) or to hide all.
Keyboard Shortcuts: Select one or multiple folders and use the keyboard shortcuts for Open (⌘O) to add 50 items, ⌥⌘O to add as many as possible. Use the shortcut for Close (⌘W) to hide all or ⌥⌘W to hide 50 items.
Menu commands: Select one or multiple folders and use the commands from View > Display.
Shortcut menu: When on a folder or Place, select “Display 50 More Items” or “Display 50 Items Less”. Click while holding Option (⌥) to add as many as possible or to hide all.
